La Porta del cel is a cross-border high mountain route that is highly valued by mountaineers. With an isolated and wild environment, it is a good place to discover and reconnect. We will cross two natural parks, the Parc Natural de l’Alt Pirineu, in Pallars Sobirà and the Ariege, Parc Naturel Régional Pyrénées Ariégeoises. The fauna and flora that we can discover is abundant and the environment idyllic and majestic. We will walk in a high mountain environment, we will discover the largest lake in the Pyrenees (Certascan Lake), the highest peak in Catalonia, the Pica d’Estats (3143mts), and alpine and subalpine vegetation. It is possible to summit three summits in a single day.
