General conditions for the hiring of an activity
Rates
The rates of the products offered by Miguel Angel Canal Servent, of legal age, residing in La Pobla de Segur, Avinguda Catalunya No. 18, 2nd 1st, include VAT. The rates are established for the minimum group indicated of group. New rates may be negotiated for smaller groups.
Conditions of inclusion/exclusion of the contracted service
Include:
The following services:
- • Planning, preparation, and guidance of the activity by a UIMLA mountain guide.
- • Accident insurance and Civil Liability insurance.
- • Activity documentation.
- • Specific material and safety equipment provided by the guide, such as maps, compass, GPS, first aid kit, tools.
- • 24-hour telephone assistance.
- • Management of services, other providers, included within the offered activity.
You can include:
- • Accommodation and meals.
- • Rental of equipment.
- • Client and/or luggage transportation.
- • Contracting of insurances.
Do not include:
- • Extras at shelters and accommodations.
- • The cost of registrations or tickets required for the activity.
- • Expenses incurred by the abandonment of the activity for any reason.
- • Expenses unrelated to the performance of the activity.
- • Expenses generated by the chosen payment method.
- • The personal equipment of each participant, as indicated in the equipment section.
Reservation / Payment Conditions
Payment method
At the time of formalizing the hiring of your activity, you must pay 30% of the total amount. A second payment of 40% of the total will be made at most 30 days before the activity date, considering your place as not reserved until this deposit is made. The remaining amount must be paid before the start of the activity, considering your place canceled if you do not make this payment, and in this case, cancellation conditions will apply. If you make the reservation within 30 days prior to the activity date, 100% of the amount will be charged.
Cancellation policy
If you cancel 30 days before the activity, the deposited part will be refunded except for expenses incurred for accommodation or others. If you cancel 15 days before the activity, 50% of the total budget will be refunded. If you cancel one week before, 20% of the total will be returned. If you do not attend the activity, no amount will be refunded.
You will be entitled to a refund of the amounts deposited if PiriTrek modifies or cancels the contracted activity beforehand. A similar activity will always be offered.
You will be entitled to a refund of the amounts deposited if the minimum places are not filled, or the possibility of negotiating a new budget with the contractors.
Insurance and Coverage
The activity contract includes coverage of civil liability insurance and accident insurance and assistance. The coverage is as follows:
Civil Liability Insurance:
- • Indemnification limit per claim: €601,012.10
- • Indemnification limit per victim: €150,253.00
Accident and Assistance Insurance:
- • Accidental death (per victim): €6,000.00
- • Permanent disability (per victim without scale): €6,000.00
- • Medical expenses: €1,800.00
The insurances only provide coverage during the development of the activity (they are not valid for incidents that may occur during travel to or from the activity location).
For activities carried out abroad, it is recommended to contract insurance that covers the contracted activity; we can manage this at the client’s request. PiriTrek is not responsible for expenses incurred without insurance.
Activity Conditions
All sports activities carried out in the Natural Environment imply the existence of Risk. The Guide manages this risk, which is never zero.

group must communicate their medical condition to PiriTrek in advance and take appropriate measures according to their situation.
The development of activities depends on a series of conditions that the contractor assumes; these conditions may modify or even suspend the activity without compensation.
They are as follows:
- • Adverse weather conditions during the activity.
- • Health or physical conditions of the group.
- • Perilous conditions for group.
- • Material conditions and physical preparation of group.
- • Participant behavior conditions.
PiriTrek’s commitment begins with the activity itself; all external aspects to the activity such as transportation, accommodation, meals, ski lifts, are not the responsibility of the company unless indicated in the activity information.
For international products, there may be slight alterations to the rates, but these will be communicated 20 days before departure.
A prior test may be carried out by PiriTrek before starting a high-commitment or difficult activity. Expenses will be borne by the client.
Always respect the specific regulations that may exist in a certain area (Natural or National Parks). Do not touch or handle animals or offspring. Do not uproot or alter the flora of the environment. Avoid noise pollution. Leave no litter behind. And other aspects to consider for maintaining the ecosystem.
